><p>Artista y profesor del MIT de Massachusetts, una de las caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s destacadas de su trabajo es la utilizaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica de contenidos de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n de masas.<\/p>\n<p>Desde una perspectiva cr\u00edtica, su obra aborda temas sociales, pol\u00edticos y de comunicaci\u00f3n de todo el mundo, como la relaci\u00f3n entre el espacio p\u00fablico y privado dentro de determinados marcos sociales o los canales de informaci\u00f3n y la forma en que son utilizados para censurar o promulgar ideas. De esta forma, los t\u00e9rminos \u2018media landscape\u2019 (o \u2018paisaje medi\u00e1tico\u2019, que alude a la constante expansi\u00f3n de los medios masivos, la publicidad y el material audiovisual en el espacio p\u00fablico) y \u2018critical subjectivity\u2019 (o \u2018subjetividad cr\u00edtica\u2019, para referirse a los modos cr\u00edticos de percepci\u00f3n, pensamiento y configuraci\u00f3n del sujeto), que el propio Muntadas ha planteado y acunado, son clave para entender su propuesta art\u00edstica. Contexto y lugar concreto son con frecuencia los puntos de partida del proceso creativo propio. Rebatiendo la autor\u00eda y la creencia en la separaci\u00f3n Federico aborda el arte como juego, como activismo, y como camino ilimitado de conocimiento y realizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Algunas de sus proyectos recientes han sido Derechos y deberes transfronterizos: Saltando el Muro de la Verg\u00fcenza, Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n por la Paz Gernika; La canci\u00f3n del tomaco, MEIAC Badajoz; El otro en desaf\u00edo, Universidad del Atl\u00e1ntico, Barranquilla; Ha publicado textos como The Art of Sahrawi Cooking, en el marco de dOCUMENTA (13), Kassel (con Robin Kahn), o para el libro Destrucci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n del territorio IV, de la Universidad Complutense, Madrid. Su proyecto m\u00e1s reciente es Tuiza, en Provincia 53.
