Interesada en evidenciar las relaciones que existen entre aspectos econ\u00f3micos, sociopol\u00edticos, hist\u00f3ricos y medioambientales, sus proyectos parten de largos procesos de investigaci\u00f3n. Entendiendo el arte como una forma afectiva de producci\u00f3n de conocimiento, y tomando como inspiraci\u00f3n perspectivas feministas, posthumanistas y decoloniales, sus proyectos m\u00e1s recientes abordan actos de territorializaci\u00f3n en espacios a\u00e9reos y subterr\u00e1neos. Su obra se ha expuesto internacionalmente en museos y galer\u00edas como Kunsthalle Wien (Viena), MAXXI (Roma), Dazibao (Montreal), LABoral Centro de Arte (Gij\u00f3n) y Condeduque (Madrid). Sus piezas audiovisuales tambi\u00e9n se han presentado en festivales de cine como Kasseler Dokfest (Kassel), Curtocircu\u00edto (Santiago de Compostela) y Dokufest (Prizren). Ha recibido numerosos reconocimientos, entre ellos la beca DKV \u00c1lvarez Margaride y el premio de artes digitales Marianne.von.Willemer. Ha impartido numerosos talleres y conferencias sobre temas relacionados con el arte contempor\u00e1neo, la arquitectura, la comunicaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo del cine y el audiovisual, invitado por numerosas universidades tanto americanas como europeas. Actualmente dirige el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba y anteriormente, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Director del Centro de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo Wifredo Lam y de la 12\u00aa Bienal de La Habana (2015).
