Filosof\u00eda y profesora de Est\u00e9tica y Teor\u00eda del Arte. Ha desarrollado sus investigaciones en Valpara\u00edso, Barcelona, Lisboa y Par\u00eds. Adem\u00e1s de su actividad docente, realiza un proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica en relaci\u00f3n a los funcionamientos de las im\u00e1genes en La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, en Barcelona.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sus l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n se centran en las transformaciones de la experiencia est\u00e9tica en la cultura contempor\u00e1nea, la investigaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica, el estudio de la imagen y los medios, as\u00ed como en la relaci\u00f3n entre la est\u00e9tica y la pol\u00edtica. Ha escrito diversos art\u00edculos acad\u00e9micos, cap\u00edtulos de libros y textos para cat\u00e1logos de artistas.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Entre sus publicaciones recientes destaca su libro\u00a0<i>Le travail des images<\/i>\u00a0junto a Jacques Ranci\u00e8re, Les presses du r\u00e9el, 2019,\u00a0<i>La performatividad de las im\u00e1genes<\/i>, Metales Pesados, 2020 e\u00a0<i>Imaginaci\u00f3n material<\/i>, Metales Pesados, 2022; <i>Im\u00e1genes que resisten. Licenciado en Historia del Arte por la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela y M\u00e1ster en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Vigo, destaca como hechos inici\u00e1ticos el proyecto de intervenciones p\u00fablicas <i>Un disparo de advertencia<\/i>, Lal\u00edn, Pontevedra (2011) y el ciclo <i>Di\u00e1logos Improbables<\/i> en el Espazo NonLugar, Lal\u00edn, Pontevedra (2012-2013). M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esto, desde 2011 ha comisariado diferentes propuestas para instituciones como el CA2M (Madrid), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Caixaforum (Barcelona), MNAC (Barcelona), Artium (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Fundaci\u00f3n Cerezales Antonio y Cinia (Cerezales del Condado, Le\u00f3n), MARCO (Vigo), CCEMx (Ciudad de M\u00e9xico), CIAJG (Guimar\u00e3es), Fundaci\u00f3n Luis Seoane (A Coru\u00f1a), Tabacalera (Madrid) o EACC (Castell\u00f3n).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Premiado por La Casa Encendida en el marco del programa In\u00e9ditos 2014, organiz\u00f3 la exposici\u00f3n <i>Aprender a caer<\/i>. En 2015 gan\u00f3 la convocatoria de artes visuales de Can Felipa (Barcelona) con la muestra <i>Incluso un paisaje tranquilo<\/i> y en 2016 fue premiado en el programa Comisart de La Caixa por el proyecto <i>Bajo el brazo: entre la palma de la mano y la axila<\/i>, que se present\u00f3 en 2018 en Caixaforum (Barcelona). En 2020, en coautor\u00eda con Juan Canela, public\u00f3 el libro <i>Desde lo curatorial. Es la directora de Madrid31 de la Comunidad de Madrid, Programa de Formaci\u00f3n de Artes Visuales, y escribe regularmente en <i>Babelia<\/i> de El Pa\u00eds. Anteriormente, llev\u00f3 la secci\u00f3n de arte de la revista <i>El Cultural<\/i>, suplemento del peri\u00f3dico El Mundo. Ha trabajado en la gesti\u00f3n y el comisariado de exposiciones, y ha formado parte del equipo de la galer\u00eda Estrany-de la Mota (Barcelona) y de Urroz Proyectos (Madrid).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Desde el 2000 publica en diversos medios especializados; ha sido colaboradora asidua del suplemento <i>Cultura\/s<\/i> de La Vanguardia, escribe en cat\u00e1logos de exposiciones, imparte cursos y seminarios sobre arte contempor\u00e1neo y es miembro de diversos jurados de premios y concursos relacionados con el arte contempor\u00e1neo. Entre las menciones a su trabajo destaca el premio GAC 2017 a la cr\u00edtica de arte. Algunas de sus \u00faltimas exposiciones son <i>Todos los conciertos, todas las noches, todo vac\u00edo<\/i>, de Ana Laura Al\u00e1ez para el CA2M de la Comunidad de Madrid, que el pr\u00f3ximo mes de mayo llega a Azkuna Zentroa de Bilbao con una versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s ampliada, y Los <i>blancos secretos de su panza<\/i>, en Ciudad de la Cultura de Santiago de Compostela, a partir de la Colecci\u00f3n RAC de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">En 2022 es la comisaria del Pabell\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a de la 59\u00aa Bienal de Venecia con el artista Ignasi Aball\u00ed y el proyecto <i>Correcci\u00f3n<\/i>. Ha impartido numerosos talleres y conferencias sobre temas relacionados con el arte contempor\u00e1neo, la arquitectura, la comunicaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo del cine y el audiovisual, invitado por numerosas universidades tanto americanas como europeas.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente dirige el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba y anteriormente, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como Director del\u00a0Centro de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo Wifredo Lam\u00a0y de la 12\u00aa\u00a0Bienal de La Habana\u00a0(2015). Su obra explora el modo en que la realidad est\u00e1 configurada por estructuras narrativas y el imaginario individual y colectivo moldeado por la ret\u00f3rica y la t\u00e9cnica de los dispositivos medi\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Su carrera como artista comenz\u00f3 como pintor figurativo en los a\u00f1os noventa, estando vinculado con las galer\u00edas Buades (1992-97) y Muelle 27 (2003-2006) de Madrid. Progresivamente su obra se ampli\u00f3 a otros medios como el v\u00eddeo, la instalaci\u00f3n, los objetos especulativos o los proyectos editoriales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Esta evoluci\u00f3n est\u00e1 relacionada con su creciente inter\u00e9s en la arqueolog\u00eda de los medios, la teor\u00eda narrativa y la identidad cultural en su relaci\u00f3n con la pr\u00e1ctica del arte. En este contexto, es editor y co-autor del libro <i>El Retorno de lo nuevo. Arqueolog\u00eda de los medios y practica artista<\/i> (Editorial Abada, 2022) y particip\u00f3 en el proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n \u201cDialectical imaginaries. Art and identity in a European landscape\u201d (2020\/2021) de la Universidad de Ume\u00e5 (Suecia).
